What an amazing place! The first 'up close' meeting with Lucky was so impressive. I really like how the centre manage to present the bears as individuals, yet retain their their dignity and their humanity at all times. They do amazing work. So glad you made this visit. Great stop! You're in the land of bears, moose, wolves and lynx. I'm originally from MN and spent almost every summer "up north" not far from Ely. I moved to Colorado then to San Diego. Be sure (if you haven't already done so) to drive up the north shore of Lake Superior from Duluth to Canada. It is one of the most spectacular drives in North America.

This was so interesting. Love the work they are doing there. The bears were beautiful to see. We have a facility in our area called Lions,Tigers & Bears & they do the same kind of rescues too. Great work for these beautiful creatures. Thanks Jordan.

I remember Freddie Blassie wrestling in California at the Olympic Auditorium and being a super heel called the Vampire because he filed his teeth down into little daggers. Then Blassie turned face when John Tolos blinded Blassie with Monsel's Powder. Blassie and Tolos then engaged in a classic feud in the early 70s. Upon retirement as an active wrestler Blassie moved east to the WWWF/WWF and became the Hollywood Fashion Plate as a manager. Fred Blassie should be inducted into various hall of fames as both a wrestler and manager. He should also be considered as one of the top fifty greatest performers of all time.

You should check out Bear Country USA in South Dakota if you haven’t been there, you drive through and the bears are loose around you.

I saw him here at Hofheinz pavilion Houston He put a Fab show! When I was pulling out of my parking place a car almost hit my car I had to honk the horn , it was Chuck Berry we both smiled . I guess he was in a hurry to get some place. He was driving his own car.

Hey Jordan, I was Born in Ely and raised on Lake Vermilion and I lived on 50 acres… I still own 450 acres up there and have seen almost everything and I was never worried about Bears. I really don’t like Timber Wolves..😂
